St. Augustine Wedding Photographer seeks Fall / Winter intern.

This could be you!

Dear future intern,

Please let me know if you would be interested in joining my team. The position would require about 8 hours a week, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.

You don't need to have photography experience, but a desire to be around photography (and a photographer) is certainly key. You will need to be located somewhat near to St. Augustine, Florida.

You will get a chance to learn about Nikon and Fuji cameras, off camera lighting and how to plan, execute and hopefully survive a photo session. There will be long walks on the beach - carrying 60 lbs of gear. You will get to see the sunrise, sunset and if weather cooperates, the moonrise.

You should know that some people can find working for me to be difficult. I am a picky. I talk to myself. I will push you out of your comfort zone. I listen to 80s music, like, all the time. I like to explain the same process over and over (usually for my own benefit).

Oh, what do you get? You will get an opportunity to see how a full time photography operation works from the inside. You will get to work alongside me during photographing, processing and all of the boring stuff that we photographers pretend doesn't exist because it doesn't sound cool on Facebook. You will get to grow your photography portfolio and if you are a rock star you will get an rock star letter of recommendation from me.

If I am talking to you, send me a note - rob@robfutrell.com.
